How to fill out a Hall Pass

Hall Pass template preview
Free Hall Pass template

Print a page, cut along the dashed lines and you have eight paper hall passes. Students check where they are going and you note the time out and back, which gives you a simple record of who left the room and when.

How to fill it out

  1. Print on card stock if you have it.
  2. Cut on the dashed lines.
  3. Keep a stack by the door with a pen.
  4. Collect passes when students return and file them by week.

Tips

  • Type your room number before printing so every pass is pre-filled.
  • Use a different paper color for each class.
  • Keep returned passes to spot patterns.
  • Have a “one student out at a time” rule.
