Filling in a blank multiplication table is one of the best ways to learn the facts. The row and column numbers are printed; students write each product in its box. Use it as a timed challenge, a review sheet or a quick quiz.

How to fill it out

  1. Print the chart on Letter or A4.
  2. Have students fill one row (one times table) at a time.
  3. Check with the completed multiplication chart.
  4. Repeat weekly and time it to show progress.

Tips

  • Fill the easy rows first (1, 2, 5, 10), then the rest.
  • Use the pattern that 6 × 7 equals 7 × 6 to fill both halves quickly.
  • Highlight facts that took longest and practice them.
  • Use a different color for each table.
