Lined Paper Landscape: uses, sizes and printing tips
Lined paper turned sideways: the long edge runs across, so every line is longer. Landscape lined paper is handy for handwriting practice with short words, timelines, captions, lyric sheets and anything that reads better in wide rows.
How to print it
- The page opens in landscape (11 × 8½ in) with wide ruled lines and no margin line — 22 long lines, each about 10 inches across.
- Change the spacing to ½″ or ¾″ for big handwriting practice, or to college ruled for long-form notes.
- Add a margin line on the left if you want room for numbering or dates.
- Click Print / Save as PDF and check that Layout is set to Landscape, then choose “Actual size” (100%).
Tips
- Pair it with Bold lines for posters or anchor charts.
- Turn it into a timeline: write one event per line and add dates in the margin.
- Landscape lines are long, so the page also works well for lyric sheets, captions and copying vocabulary in two columns.
FAQ
How do I print landscape paper?
The page is already set to landscape. In the print dialog, make sure Layout or Orientation is Landscape (most browsers pick it automatically).
Can I add a margin line?
Yes — choose a Margin line position in the panel.
Will the line spacing be exact when printed?
Yes, as long as the print scale is 100% (Actual size). The lines are drawn as vector graphics, so they stay sharp and exactly spaced on any printer.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
It is completely free with no sign-up and no download. Change the settings, print it or save it as a PDF, and bookmark the address — your settings are stored in the link.
