How to fill out a To-Do List

To-Do List template preview
Free To-Do List template

A simple, clean to-do list: 24 rows with a checkbox, a wide task column, a priority column and a due date, plus a notes box at the bottom. Use it for daily tasks, work projects, errands or a weekend list. Print it blank, or type your list and print it ready to check off.

How to fill it out

  1. Write today’s date (or the project name) at the top.
  2. List each task on its own row — start each one with a verb, like “Call”, “Email” or “Buy”.
  3. Mark a priority (High / Med / Low or A / B / C) and a due date where it matters.
  4. Check the box as you finish each task; use Notes for details or phone numbers.

Tips

  • Do the high-priority task first, before email and messages.
  • Break big tasks into steps you can finish in under an hour.
  • Move unfinished tasks to tomorrow’s list instead of letting the old list pile up.
  • Online, you can tick the checkboxes too — they print as checked.
